Joana Ferreira is a young designer from Porto. Her forward thinking approach has awarded her international recognition. We designed a look book that represents the minimal yet organic direction of her Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

In Africa, HIV prevalence is particularly devastating. Recent studies estimate that 1 in every 4 people are HIV positive in South Africa; and in certain age and race groups, that picture is far worse.
Over the last 5 years, the Levi's® Red For Life programme has distributed over 1.6 million Levi's® branded condoms. Together with their NGO partner New Start, they have currently brought HIV testing to over 540,000 people... a number that continues to grow.
I helped develop this logo with King James RSVP in Cape Town.

The Young Designers Emporium is a platform for emerging South African designers through which they get exposure in a commercial retail environment. It serves as an alternative to mainstream retail in South Africa. YDE is also a brand under the Truworths wing.
The brief was to create shopping bags with an environmentally friendly message in a way which would still appeal to the target market.
The shopping bags scooped up a Bronze at the 2009 Loerie awards.
All work produced with Truworths Marketing, Design Studio.

I believe COS is the most progressive and exciting brand on the high street, I think their approach, sensibility and market positioning is beautifully unique. I was therefore thrilled when they asked me to illustrate their Spring/Summer 2010 Look book.
The illustrations took lead from the Look book photography and the trends invested in for the season. Some of the trends included the clean and controlled lines of Le Corbusier's furniture and the decadently smudgy brush strokes of Elizabeth Peyton's artwork. The end result were illustrations representing the COS S/S '10 season both in look and in trend.
